Magdalena Penn, also known by her artistic alias Donna Pate, has been active as a musician since 2020. Her debut album, “Sidus,” was released in 2021. This collection of ambient music offers listeners a hypnotic, space-like experience that has been described as otherworldly and immersive.

In December 2023, Penn released her second album, “Ego Trip,” which was featured on Radio Freier Fall along with an interview. The music on “Ego Trip” is characterized by sounds that emerge from a profound sense of darkness, while simultaneously carrying a spiritual undertone. This album marks a significant evolution in her artistic expression, delving deeper into complex emotional landscapes.

Currently, Penn is working on her third album, titled “§10,” which is expected to be released in 2025. This forthcoming project promises to continue her exploration of innovative soundscapes, building on her established style while pushing the boundaries of her musical journey.
